The most awkward section was the lower flight. It consists of two 12 foot 2x10s with cleats installed at regular intervals. These cleats will later accept the treads. As you can see here, a few treads were installed prior to raising. One tread was able to support the weight of the entire structure. Great care was taken in positioning the hoist pulley and the installation went smoothly.
